Brighter Friendship
March 21, 2008

The experience of this life is for the purpose of serving others. Like it or not, one cannot leave with anything. Death will separate a person from the concept of "stuff." The "stuff" that we receive throughout our lives is all for nothing. But being unique creations, we as people have more than "stuff." We have deeper connections with each other and can think and create our own lives. Using our unique thinking ability, we must connect with each other as unique people of the soul in a world of "stuff."

This deeper thinking ability allows us to influence our own beings. We can direct our thinking to what is of importance and become the likeness of what is good. And we must pass by our own selfishness into a new kind of unconditional love. Unconditional, meaning without demand, need, or want. Without requiring anything from others brighter friendships can blossom.

The focus needs to be on others and not on oneself. For no one can gain anything in the end. Only being able to give, that is what we should do.

But this love and friendship can extend onto our own selves too. With it we can forgive ourselves of all mistakes and truly desire nothing from anyone else because all we need is from within. Everything that is within is unlike "stuff" that only lessens in value. Having the discipline to live for others, the courage to overcome obstacles, and the clear heart to see things as they really are, are all examples of things only attainable from within. They cannot be bought and must be learned by choice. From our own free will we can come to have brighter friendships by living for all that is from within.

It is a vast world within. A place where all possibilities exist simply because of thought. Because no matter where one is, if he or she can think then he or she can reason out and begin to work toward a solution. If a problem exists, a solution can be discovered. And if we are unhappy then we can become happy. By relying on things that will never perish, those things that are good, noble, and true, one can truly desire nothing but the enrichment of other people within brighter friendships based on true care, compassion, and kindness.

To have a brighter life, live for the truth you see when uninfluenced by outside sources. That quiet voice that reaffirms everything about being the best person that you can be. Because out of living from that inner joy of discipline and quiet bliss, there is no want or expectation of anything from other people. They can be who they are and with them you can live in an abundance of brighter friendships based on all that is kindness and love itself.
