Success and Freedom June 12, 2007 Success is the accomplishment of a predetermined goal found worthy of pursuit. You must choose what it is that you want, and then go out and get it. This takes a large amount of self-discipline because we all are subject to energy. It is very possible that you may have decided to pursue some endeavor only to later give up or simply never begin. This is because the energy in and around us determines how difficult the task will be. When you are excited and hyped up about doing something, it is easy to accomplish, but once you get into a bad mood and are feeling down anything and everything will be a burden. You need to rejuvenate yourself and fill yourself with willpower and energy so you are able to experience success. Music can be uplifting, but it can also drain you. People who you associate with can also be good influences but too often they are not. Keep all this information in mind as I switch my focus onto freedom. Freedom is the ability to do as one desires. If you want to achieve a goal, freedom is the ability to go about doing so despite anything that may be in your way. Yes, you may be free when talking about "not in jail" but can you really do as you please? Too often our lack of energy or enthusiasm about something stops us from doing it. Freedom is when you can energize yourself to achieve what it is that you want. If you are free then you can say to yourself, "I am able to do anything I set my mind to. If I want to achieve something, no person, or circumstance can stop me. I can change my life for the better." Free people know what they want and are able to go after it. They can do as they please and once they set out with unfaltering determination to achieve their goal they do succeed. Free people are successful. They are free because they can be independent from their circumstances and they are successful because their passion for what they want will not fail them. Realize when the energy around you is not empowering and find a way to lift yourself up. There is a higher power that gives you the ability to become your best. When you surround yourself with empowering things you are able to more fully connect with the source from which you came and you will be abundantly provided for and have the ability to succeed in whatever you do. There are many things that will cause you to stumble as you try to succeed and be free. Thoughts of your unworthiness may lower your energy and ability to achieve. Remember that there is more to you than your physical body. You are also a spiritual being. There is a higher power within you giving you the innate power to be good and to achieve whatever you desire. Your thoughts of what others may think of you may also cause you to stumble. You are not here to become what they have envisioned for you. They may be trying to control you because they are not completely free. They want for you what they are unable to achieve for themselves because they aren't free. To be free and to succeed there are two things you must do. First, connect with your higher self. That is done by only accepting the best for your life. Any bad deeds done against another person are simply not the best action to take in your life. There is no place for any evils in you. Second, surround yourself with high-energy people and circumstances. Take part in the things that empower you and nothing else. Then you will be free to do as you choose. Also, being connected to a higher power you will be able to go on to succeed. Joshua Schwarz
