Dual Realities April 29, 2007 Experiences in life are directly related to how one perceives the events that happen to him or her. When you focus on the good, it will expand and more of it will be brought to you, just like focusing on the bad will exaggerate your problems. When you have two different people, each with an illness to overcome, and one decides to continue their life despite the extra trouble while the other lives in defeat they will live in different realities. If you are living in the joy of life and see all the great things you have and encounter someone who is angry at life you will find that they are currently in a different place than you. They may be standing directly beside you, but they aren't really there. You have a choice each day to live in heaven or hell. When discouragement, loss, and gloom reach you from that other place you must decide to deny it the ability to bring you down. I like to view problems in my life as the enemy trying to defeat me and stop me from enjoying my life. Each time trouble comes along I decide to use all my might to fight the enemy, so that he may not steal my joy. At first glance it seems logical to allow your problems to bother and discourage you but in the end that does you no good. There will never be a lack of good. This good can be brought into your life by consciously living in the light, the joy, of life. Realize that you are still a good person and deserving of good things, no matter what you have done in the past. Today you can change. I cannot condemn you for the bad things you may have done, so how can anyone else? Stand strong, be proud, and go out into the world spreading the good things in life. Joshua Schwarz |
