The Creative Source April 4, 2007 We all work with one power that is commonly called God, the universe, the creative source, or the all-in-all. God is the source of all creation, including creation through us. You always have the ability to choose your thoughts, and they end up leading you to your actions. You can give a purpose to your life. You can be happy despite everything. When you tap into your joy, you take from the infinite, which is God. Don't think of God as some distant ruler watching over you to condemn you at any minute. God is everywhere and present in all things. God is all creation. God is the universe in all its goodness. Every success of time has been no different from you. They try no harder than you but seem to have had a lucky hand with their amazing success. The truth is, success is not brought on by hard work. You can slave over everything all your life and never be successful. Yes, hard work is part of the process, but there is so much more to it. The problem is most people work with effects instead of the cause of those effects. You have brought on most of your life's circumstances. Ultimately, everyone wants to be happy and content with whatever it is they do. So, to find this happiness we do a wide range of things, but none satisfy. That is because good things don't bring happiness. You must find your happiness independent of all things. Then, everything you do in life becomes effortless. The cause is how you perceive the world. The effect is the circumstances of your life. An always-positive view of the world allows you to accomplish great things with little effort. The question is then, "how can I be happy independent of circumstances?" Let me tell you about a man named Viktor Frankl. Viktor Frankl was a Holocaust survivor. His circumstances were horrid. The only thing Viktor had available to him was his mind. Viktor learned that despite the torture of the concentration camp, he had the ability to decide whether or not he would allow himself to become depressed and discouraged. He knew that by changing his perspective, he could give new meaning to his terrible experiences. Viktor showed the other prisoners that despite their trial they could live with meaning. Once you purposely change your perspective, the way you think about things, you can see the goodness of God in everything. No matter what, dwell only on the good things in your life. Then, any suffering or pain will drift away. Once you tap into the infinite by focusing on everything that is good, you realize that everything you ever wanted you already have. The power is within you. Let the power out and do great things. How bright will you let your light shine? Joshua Schwarz |
