The Law of Attraction February 20, 2007 Little children spend their days using their imagination creating worlds and adventures in which they are the main characters. They learn to completely lose themselves in a fantasy reality where the good always prevails. As we mature into adults we begin to see that the world is not always perfect when we grow past our initially care free personalities. Life loses its luster in our eyes and with it our dreams for the future and who we want to become are placed on the back burner, out of sight. This transition takes place as we are slowly conditioned by the world. Circumstances begin to drive us and we are forced to go with the flow, or so we think. As children we had very few worries because we lived in our own little bubble. We were comfortable in that bubble but once we were introduced to the larger world it burst wide open. Our thoughts became cluttered with concerns about making ends meet and we had little time to waste in the room of silence. Sometimes silence is the best medicine, allowing us to discover ourselves once we slow down from the demands of everyday life. However, bogged down with worry, we begin to live passively as we react to the world and the circumstances around us. When you act based on things you see, nothing changes. Perhaps one should act on what he or she desires to see in his or her life. The law of attraction is the secret. Act to create the life you desire to have. Instead of observing what is around you, decide what you hope to one day see in your life. Focus on the things you want to accomplish instead of what already is. Many people spend their entire lives reacting to the present instead of enacting the future. Focus on the good over the bad and all good things will inevitably be drawn to you. With the law of attraction, all good things are in you reach. One major misconception with this "intention manifestation" concept is that it is a magical "hocus pocus" prayer that will cause you to have supernatural powers. In reality, the law of attraction combines the desire for positive change and the belief that that change is possible to empower one to act to create that change. The law of attraction is of no help to you if you merely sit back and wait for the changes to occur. You must act knowing that anything is possible, trying your hardest to accomplish the things you so choose. Combined with the law of attraction, gratitude helps to put the law of attraction into high gear. When you have gratitude you believe that everything at the current moment is as it should be. Gratitude is the joy in everything you currently have at this moment and the acceptance of all that you don't have. It allows you to be independent of circumstances because you believe everything will end for the best. The law of attraction paired with gratitude will make your dreams possible once again. Use gratitude and be glad in everything that you currently have. Imagine what you want in your life and believe it is possible. Then keep your joy no matter what the outcome, because happiness is a choice. Now that you depend on no source to bring you happiness and believe all good things will be brought to you, everything is possible. Joshua Schwarz |
