The universe, as it is, is perfectly aligned. Everything is given its place in the world and the present is exactly as it should be. The stage is set for you to become your true self, once you acknowledge that your current self is out of place. Many people have trouble changing themselves because they refuse to come to the realization that something is wrong. If at this very moment you are unhappy, it is your own fault. The world, circumstances, and uncontrollable events are not to blame. They are as they should be, not out of sync. You are the one out of place. It is not the world's problem but it is your own.

You must find your happiness apart from all the false guarantees the world has to offer. These promises are here today but gone tomorrow. Fame, fortune, and popularity are among these promises. If you find your joy from a circumstance, then in the blink on an eye it is gone, and you are left with nothing.

The greatest habit you can develop for yourself is independence from circumstances. When you are free from everything, you can find what is important to you and then pursue those things. The world doesn't set you up for failure because you do. Liberate yourself from the expectations of everyone. Accept that you are wrong in shifting yourself out of sync with the universe. Only you can get yourself back on life's road.
