A Light Heart
February 2, 2007

Once you decide to take on the task of becoming the best person you can be, it can be very exhausting. Since no one is perfect you are bound to find many set backs on your journey. There will be days when you will feel like your life is coming unbound. This is the reason many people choose to never try to reach their full potential. These people have taken on an ineffective approach to living their lives to the fullest. They begin the journey expecting changes to happen overnight and when these changes seem to never come they give up.

To fully enjoy your life you must take on a light heart. You must stop letting every little thing bother you. You can always become an even better person, and if you wait to enjoy life until you reach that point you will never be satisfied. You are here right now in your life for a reason so don't miss it. Cherish the moment because great things are happening now!

A light heart is not an urgent heart. Whenever you rush into important matters they end badly, so take your time as you discover yourself. Change yourself slowly because if you rush things then they will not stick and you will end up where you began.

A light heart knows when to take a break. Occasionally, relinquish your duty to always act and simply watch the world around you. Additionally, take frequent private breaks from life to restore yourself so you can fully help others. An inspirational writer, Matthew Kelly, calls this the classroom of silence. Take time out of your day to listen to your inner voice to find out who you are.

A light heart is full of joy. In every moment, whether good or bad, find your happiness. This happiness will bring change in your life because good things don't bring happiness but happiness brings good things.
